New Energy ( thoughts on a dying year)

With Christmas around the corner
And a new year coming fast
The corporate enforcement role
Of the police
That die is cast

We witness that involvement
As the corporate giants come
Into our communities
And imagine we are dumb

Or daft or lost for words
A few though see the light
Messengers and angels
Witnessing the blight

Able via social media
To concentrate and see
What fracking has turned America
Into regrettably

Australia is being torn
to smithereens as well
Environments are being lost
Which throws up a ghastly smell

As methane and frack fluids
and the big machine
Hydraulic fracturing buggers up
The earth that once was green

Water is already at a premium
But we
See upwards of 8 millions gallons
Pumped, eternity
Will not be long at this rate
For animals or man
Wasting and polluting fast
Just because they can

The air we breathe polluted too
Its about energy
The vampires we call corporations
Sucking violently

Getting to the politicians
Who seemingly don’t care
In it to make their fast bucks
But totally unaware

Of commonsense and family
Its not until they see
And feel the repercussions
Of their own insanity

The UK will be torn apart
Acidification rules
Fracking is attacking
Our vitality, which calls

These oligarchs into process
Wizards of the dark
Whose only want is oil and gas
And its there they make their mark

And we are seen as superfluous
They really do not care
Where we live and how we live
They just dont want to share

They have their private islands
Their mansions in the sky
And As for us thats you and me
They dont care if we die

And as for the protectors
The police are paid to be
Out there getting heavy
Making the mice see

If you come and protest
And build camps you will get
Aggression like you cant imagine
And fines that will not let

You get involved with energy
Special camps for you
Locked up 24 hours a day
And beaten black and blue

Security in private hands
We see it already they
Are mindless groups of idiots
Who do anything for pay

Pumped up little hitlers
Given a yellow coat
And labelled private security
So, someone of note

Louts and thugs
And mindless fools
Brainwashed endlessly
Employed to show the public
What happens actually
When they protest
Or answer back
They will meet improbity
