The two legged variety
Their teminology
Of humankind
That blows my mind
For such a term can’t be
A universal statement
Not the one’s I know
The farm where I was brought into their world
Life there was low
Their frailty, their obtuseness
Their insensitivity
All those filthy cages
And the torment there that be
An ever growing problem
Their harrowing desire
To subject us to such evil
How they made each hour more dire
We wild souls need our freedom
Wire cages will not do
They so mess with our feet and legs
A problem thats not new
And knowing that we live there
Only for our fur
That is why we are alive
Really why we were
Given the great miracle of life
To breathe and be
Out in the vast countryside
Not caged up instantly
The fetid life where putrefaction
Is the order of our day
The mustiness and staleness
The malodorous display
The wailing and the howling
The cacophony from hell
It just is pandemonium
And ofcourse that smell
Of death and of real anger
That permeates us all
The bedlam that is everywhere
The doom and gloom on call
I think it is the inevitable
That makes it very hard
There is no escape from the
The end game
When someone marks your card
And anal electrocution
Is the order of the day
When you become a lifeless shape
A corpse thats made to pay
Their blank minds clearly upset us
Their thoughtlessness for me
They disregard our feelings
Indeed their laxity
Neglectful of our wishes
Abandoned thats the life
We can expect from humans
Just more and more real strife
That I indeed was rescued
And given another chance
That I could share some freedom
And human love and dance
A fair old jig of joy whilst
Knowing life ahead of me
Was feeling the wild spirit
Manifested instantly
Seeing smelling nature
Exercise and more
Breathing in the fresh pure air
Directly from my core
The elegance and harmony
The rhythm and the blues
The artistic and the polished
And the light and all the views
Refreshment the reviving force
The undemanding who
Want to simply play wuth you
Unlike some souls who do
Have other traits and other reasons
And its all downhill from there
The feeling of being cared about
Of a human who wants to share
Some time with you to comfort
To play to love to be
To have some understanding
And solidarity
Sweetness and light
And love and peace
And harmony all around
Jumping bobbing dancing
Just being on the ground
No longer a captive or a victim
Any more
Behind bars under lock and key
Held by a rusty door
You have won that promise
That lovely guarantee
That fur that you were born with
Is yours for an eternity
