I stood up a long time ago
And said out to myself aloud
I will not support the meat trade
I will no longer be a coward
Who just eats flesh and drinks the milk
Designed for calves not me
I have worked within the meat trade
And the milk trade and I be
A better human being
Than to allow these goings on
Animals treated mercilessly
Life for them is gone
They are not in farms
On pasture
No not any more
Now they are in huge feed lots
Victims of our war
They have no rights
Its torture
Every single day
And all their waste
And there is so much
Its all carted away to
Great ponds just to fester
The stench mind blowing too
Any living soul down wind
Who vomits when the stew
Hits their beloved nostrils
Impregnating their soul
Adheres to their glorious lungs
And finally takes control
These great pools are huge
And lying somewhere far away
Waiting for the earthquake
For then we all will pay
Government subsidized cereals
And oceans of water they need
Humans everywhere having to drink
The water much of it does stink
But these cows are getting the potable stuff
And we have to ask ourselves why
Its corporate run thats what we’ve done
Allowed all this to reach the sky
Big pharma supplies all the additive pills
Your milk GMO’s and the rest
All sorts of rubbish is fed to these animals
Unlabelled to you thats the test
And are you now strong enough to all stand up
And join me by saying aloud
We will go vegan and stop all this nonsense
And look at ourselves and feel proud
We don’t want to be part of this feed lot idea
These animals suffering so
So we can eat
flesh and drink their babies milk
Even if we will not go
And see for ourselves where it comes from
How they scream out everyday
How female cows suffer kidnap
And stand in their rape racks and pay
Mercy for animals knows a thing or two
About suffering
You ought to be more aware
What you are perhaps ignorant of
