Competitive corporate business with living feeling souls cannot ever be right

This is their business model
A corporate business of sorts
The product thats making the profit
Is alive but alone with its thoughts
Its a horse in a world of upheavel
In a place where there’s pressure to win
All investment is based on accual
And if that doesn’t happen the thin
Edge of the wedge becomes actual
These animals these days are kept
On a diet of so many medicines
To try snd make charges adept

Again it is lacking understanding
Of what these drugs actually do
What is their overall energy level
And how it bypasses the true
And then combinations can alter
Like perceptions for how they must be
They might be performance related
But they clash with the mean energy

Live animals that become products
In a business that does have to win
Is putting great stress on the animal
And the trainers as such and the sin
Will develop for out there
Are the rich who invest yes a lot
But they want returns pretty quickly
And a live animal hasnt got

The where for all to understand this
He will be trained and run where he can
But we all have off days and thats when we lose
But of course thats not part of a plan
Everything costs so much money
And the winnings are what its about
Of course when a horse doesnt make it
His future will then be in doubt

Racing is all about betting
Its all about money and where
Theres money around then what will be found
Is the criminals who are aware
Doping snd hoping using abusing
Getting one over on those
Each has a balance sheet i guess thats so
And if you are losing
Then you have to go

And its not to a sanctuary
You can be sure
It will be to the slaughterhouse
Dont lets ignore
Horse meat is prevalent everywhere
Sold off as beef by those who dont care

I have looked after horses a lot in the past
When they are happy life is a blast
But all of these drugs and big pharma too
Lets face it they are in it to make money too
And this doesnt auger well with the live soul
Who suffer a great deal a race takes its toll
Tremendous stresses on legs and on feet
And argy bargy its never that sweet

I never bet thats something in me
Not even a sweepstake for abuse I can see
They turn a blind eye to it much of the time
But the figures of deaths in America climb
24 horses die every week
And remember most of them
Are at their peak
Supposedly well fed and trained we believe
But out on the track chance does not leave
And if they fall, its bang they are dead
Its a very cruel pastime and that being said

The rich and the famous are clearly embroiled
The jockeys the race tracks the trainers well oiled
The punters the coverage the media too
It all a big business with dreams that come true
Or do they a lot dont and victims then be
Many its obvious if you ask me
