BENJI

Nobody fed me
Just chained me there
Never came back for me
Wasn’t aware
How much I loved them
They didnt care
Left on my own
To just be aware

Existence with nobody
Drives one insane
And having no sustenance
I felt such strain
And The last time
I saw them
They kicked me and said
We are not coming back
Until you are dead

We dont want to see you
Your ugly brown eyes
Your smell it just sickens us
Dont you realise
You are pathetic
Of course we dont care
Nobody wants you
Or knows that you are there

So you can get on with it
Perhaps you will learn
No one will love you
You are no one!s concern
You can rot for all we care
Rot in your hole
You are just one
fucking rotten arse ole

Being chained in this hovel
Is one thing I know
Not being fed is another blow
But loving and caring for someone
And they
Leave you to rot and just walk away
Was too much to take in
I cannot explain
All my sores all my darkness
Again all my pain

I wanted to see her
To just see her smile
I knew she would hit me
She would for a while
But I was now losing it
My heart and soul
In my mind I was crazy
I lost every goal

I had set for myself
I just wanted to die
With one dark regret
Just where I lie
Food for the bugs
So still with a need
But i had such big sores
And my heart it did bleed

I remember that morning
I have no idea
How I was feeling
Just that death felt near
That nobody loved me
And nobody cared
Was really what got to me
Then someone stared
Someone was there
I could smell them
So sweet
Wearing blue jeans and
Straight off the street

I remember shivering
Frightened as hell
I was in a state
In the darkest of spell
I must have smelled terribly
This was my loo
Covered in bugs
And shivering too

But she knelt down beside me
She didnt care
She put her hand on me
She was aware

She brought me food
She was soft she was sweet
She smiled she was young
And Just off the street
An angel had found me
I was in such a state

They took me to a hospital
And they did wait
I was really uncomfortable
That people could see
What an absolute wreck
Time and life did to me
I could hardly walk
I had sores everywhere
I had reached the end
To the darkest despair

Even my mind was going as well
I had closed down forever
For my short trip to HELL

The angels there tended me
Cleaned me and I
Was fed and was watered
And I slept on a high
Every day for a week
Someone said Hi!
And cared and they spared time for me
And so I

Responded my last chance
Perhaps in the world
I was feeling better
i had been hurled
Into Hell and recovered
Now I wanted to be
In the light being loved
For an eternity

I found a new forever home
With two friends
Two doggie brothers
And the message that sends
Me into such joy to part of something
To be part of a family
Not just some wretched thing

You kick when your angry
Or you shout at a lot
Or they forget to feed you
When they have a big pot
You can smell really nice things
But they will not share
They neglect you and think
That you are not aware

My forever home
Is nothing like that
We all have our own bowls
We know where we are at

And we have pi water
It makes green seeds grow
Its extra special
Which all of us know
Its been a few weeks
And I am happy again
Just to be part of their
Sweetest refrain
To play in the garden
And just being me
Loved and cared for
And a new mummy

A friend who is there for us
No more neglect
Just a smile and a pat
and a lot of respect
