A path to somewhere

Imagination
AUtumn’s sweet repose
Dappled leaf cover
A path that just goes
Into the mist
Where the birches now grace
Where the froglings all mutter
And are lost without trace
Swallowed up by the litter
The leaves wet and true
And the picture before us
An endearing dew
With its velvety fondling
That clings to our hair
Flirts with the follicles
Are we aware
So much feels so distant
Lets canoodle a while
In the light flooding
Down on us
Causing us to smile
