A short walk

Leave the road
For a while
Take this path
Through the forest
Mossy banked edges
Where toadstools now dance
Where light comes and goes
Like music that ripples
Not to forget
The painter that stipples
Just to admire the peace
And the shading
The magic of autumn
Bright and then fading
The greenwood the jade
And the emerald hues
Reseda and olive
And how they all fuse
Into one picture
One magickal place
Where shrews and where bunnies
And beetles eyes chase
