A sunset beckons out across the valley
Islands of peach melba breaking through
A blue resolve the peaceful solve
The question of true light
An occurrence built on trust my friends
Welcoming the night
A fiery spark of orange
A nifty spicy brew
Being swallowed up in darkness
It is what night can do
A solid splash of colour
Dulling by the hour
As the tree line is receding
In the mists of time we cower
The Gade continues onwards
It’s trickling refrain
It’s sparkle lost to human eyes
But it’s vigour helped by rain
The islands swamped in slates of grey
The fervour of it all
Another day passes away
Behold a sunken wall
That stretches far beyond us
Absorbing all the while
The trees are losing stature
Just minutes off the dial
They are gone completely
as darkness closes in
An ebony curtain sweeps away
The novelty and spin
Of delineating shadows
Of identifying those
That knowledge placed before us
In the colour of this prose
