A puppy dog born to a world
Full of grief
Where horror and terror
Are beyond belief
A baby an innocent baby
Is bought
From a self styled puppy mill
Or pet shop who ought
To have realised they
Were no better than hell
For this poor soul today
Who now knows fully well
And who goes to buy
A puppy let’s think
A heartless fool
Perhaps who likes to drink
Likes to do
drugs
May be pain killers too
What chance has
this puppy
And what can he do
He is home he is lost
Life for him it’s all new
A baby with dreams
What’s he going to do
He barks and he wee’s
And he shits where he sits
The monsters have got him
and he’s frightened to bits
They shout a lot
What can he do he just has to Yelp
He is a baby
So of course it won’t help
He is kicked he is whacked
He is told to get lost
He is beaten and picked up
His life has now cost
So they put out their fags on him
Burn him with rags
They torture him daily
Keep him in bags
Don’t feed him hardly
That’s what they do
Some human beings are evil all through
Imagine poor Caleb
Lost to the world
In this vile household
Where he was hurled
Already starving and in lots of pain
And having to take kicks and wallops again
He is only 12 weeks old
And already he knows
Humans are lousy everything shows
He tries to hide
But they find him and they
Throw him about there isn’t a way
He can’t get out of all of this
Nobody cares
He was just thrown
By the man on the stairs
Breaking his jawbone
Bruising his eye
His backside is bleeding
Maybe the guy
Did something to him
Caleb just feels
Incredibly sore
And all this reveals
In this day and age
In America we
Have every excuse
To not even see
But the women next door
Saw him thrown In The air
And over a high fence
She was aware
She called rescue dogs rock
And they came
Took Caleb away
Not thinking of blame
Fulton County Animal Services
Took
They in Atlanta after having a look
So emaciated and burned everywhere
A jaw that was broken
A puppy whose care
Had been non existent
That was surely clear
Who had lived through horror and terror
And fear
So many animals die in this way
Helpless and lost in a place where dismay
Is part of the fabric
The stress and the pain
Bringing a puppy into this
Is insane
But the judgement of humans
Is now shot away
By the drugs and the alcohol
Taken each day
Their minds are all over the place
And away
Insane brainwashed fools
At the end of the day
Living on rubbish
Nutritional freaks
The drugs and the alcohol
Gives them their peaks
And torturing puppies
So sick and so wrong
That’s what they do
They do not belong
Anywhere other than
Up on a rope
Dangling somewhere
We have no hope
It has to be sorted
Pet shops and puppy mills
Have to be banned
For an evil wave spills
Out of these places
Breeders now must
Be seized and be closed down
It’s really unjust
We have pounds and have shelters
Full of dogs that die
Because nobody wants them
The numbers are high
Craig’s list and others
Giving puppies away
To good home for free
That’s what the ads say
It’s all bloody ignorance
Lifting this lid
On the heartless humans
Who want to get rid
Of s dog or cat
That’s become a pain
The pain is the human
Again and again
We are the problem
And we have a way
Of sorting this problem
It will go away
If we reduce the numbers
Ban puppy mills
Close all the pet shops
And breeders whose tills
Might be full to flowing
They too must go
If people want pets
To the rescue they go
Issue a licence
And make them pay
An abusers list
At the end of the day
Sentient souls poor m Caleb
Must be
Given protection
That’s a guarantee
Give animals rights
And ensure that they stick
Make penalties high
For the sicko’s who kick
Who harm little puppies like Caleb
Poor soul
Who stands in his corner out of control
Screaming and crying he trusts no one he
Was abused and was sent
Into purgatory
His white cells are low
He is in septic shock
Abused so violently
Just every knock
He got he will have registered now in his heart
Poor little fellow
And a new start
Will be hard to come by
Each wag of each tail
A mark of the loyalty
That just may fail
It’s a human problem
All over the world
But dogs seem to get it
They seemingly hurled
they are the loyal ones
Mans special friend
So it comes as a shock to them
When it does end
