Telmatoblus Culeus. A rarity

Aquatic and endangered
A rather lonely soul
Who lives in Titicaca Lake
And apparently it’s role
Is to live and be a Peruvian
THough it’s pressure every hour
Everybody is after them
And the reason now
Is down to human beings
As medicine we hear
TheY use their skin for leather
And the poor frogs live in fear

They make a flour and cream
I am told
And they eat the poor soul too
Juice him for a tonic
I know that doesn’t sound true
IN the US there are people
Who see them as a way
A sort of aphrodisiac
And for that some nuts will pay

A fortune this poor animAl
Attracts the low life males
Which is why it’s really struggling
Imagine the sad tales
Circulating all about
And now we hear the trout
They have introduced into the pond
Are now eating the tadpoles
Yes that’s what it’s about

Humans are a pain in life
Nothing stands to be
Enjoying freedom no matter where
There is no decency
Every soul is fighting to stay
Alive today
Even this wonderful water frog
Who is being made to pay

For all these soppy cultures
And for leather products too
Human beings do not think
What killing them does do
As they become endangered
So some will pay a lot
And others will go hunting
And kill them on the spot

We are all a bunch of losers
Making them suffer so
They are only found in this lake
As most people now know
So where is their compassion
their in born empathy
Why do they keep capturing them
With such frequency

The selfishness and ignorance
Has gone beyond belief
There is no continuity
And thus a lot of grief
It’s incongruous behaviour
It’s out of step with time
And if they leave this planet
Let those wasters feel their slime

Rising over their sick heads
Drowning them out too
For what they have done to a precious soul
Is now coming true
They are being drowned out
Lose their life as well
Being sucked into a spout
And pushed up into HELL
