A miracle of life

A little chick
A fluffy ball of feathers
A miracle of life
As we all are
A heart a soul a liver
And two wings to fly
2 eyes to see
And a reason to ask why?

YES I know I am small
And sort of ball like
A little fluffy feathered soul
But why?
Would you want to play ball with me
Kick me
Think me so worthy
Of 5 minutes of fun
For you and that guy

Who lifts his leg
And I sail high and skywards
Injured and alone
My silent cry

A little chick
A fluffy ball of feathers
A miracle of life
Why me please why?

From humans who see life
And know its value
I was alive and honestly
I could feel
Every bit of her vile
insensitivity
Devalued my positivity
And I became a ball
For a short while

I died of course
I died just one soft option
A laugh for you
A little chick who cares
Nobody for what use am I really
A concept really
Nobody still shares

Commerce crushes trillions of us everyday
We are use to slaughter
For slaughter it does pay
This girl part of humanity
Abuses us for she
Was once a little miracle
As I was tragically

But now I count for nothing
Just a fluffy ball
Yes I had a heart and soul
But really that was all
