Dolphins and their occupations

A realness for the present
Pod members on hand
The midwife at the ready
A truly healing band
12 months in gestation
The denominator here
When the mothers ready
The baby will appear
Tail first always tail first
With birthing juices too
Of interest to the predators
A kind of living stew
Some dolphins will be on guard
To fight off those who might
Come to indulge their fantasy
But just may get a bite
In minutes a sweet baby
Will be swimming on its own
Instinctively it knows its course
As ancestry as sown
All the vital knowledge
So the calf is on its way
Swimming with its mother
On its first birthday

At Taiji we remember
The Japanese have caught
Dolphins that were pregnant
And they killed them just for sport
One wonders why man kind is quite so
Awful and we see
The mother pithed and the baby
just thrown back in the sea

they are a bunch of evil hearted sods
I have to say
No compassion for a mother
And her child
The way
They are to the natural world
As arrogant as can be
Lost in a world of ignorance
Where only they should be

The dolphins are intelligent
With emotions ever strong
They have helped humans giving birth
Though some might think thats wrong
But clearly they are knowledgeable
And are experienced for they
Have to start lives on their own
And for this we make them pay
