The bull

This earthlings name was Bandit
Probably the reason why
the human beings
Chained him up and his name
Let them deny
Their cruelty for this brave soul
Was never a criminal he
Was a gentle soul never a rogue
A lovely soul to see

And then he was chosen to leave
His chains and seek freedom
Some where new
Patted and cared and loved he was
His chains removed its true

At once he leapt into the air
You could feel his joy
Snuggled up inside the hay
It really was his ploy
To show us just what freedom meant
How much he now could play
Didn’t have those weighty chains
To weigh him down all day

His gratitude and thankfulness
It just filled all who saw
Each one of those sad cattle
We truthfully ignore
We go our own way every day
Unthinking of their plight
If we could only save them all
And try to do whats right

For me personally I have avoided milk
For over 70 years and it hasn’t killed me
Its the children now my tears
Are with so many little calves
Lost and shot away
Buy ignorance and arrogance
That just gets in the way

Change this animals names at once
Perhaps lets call him sage
In chains all those many months
For him it was an age
And having them removed we shared
The happiness he felt
At the moment when the cards
Were shuffled and he was dealt

A lovely hand of freedom
And so merry was he
Move off to paradise
In a joyous rhapsody
