The Rocks
At Clearwell
In the Forest of Dean
A natural cave system
That just might have been
From the carboniferous period saw
Underground streams
Cutting caves there galore
Then came the miners
Iron give me ore
Give me ochre
Of red and of yellow
Are you sure
Yes even purple
Thats very rare
Painting with that colour
How is that fair
Now it is us
The Druids have come
The Cotswold Order
Imbolc and some
Ollie his night lights
I million they shine
Illumination
Right down the line
Into the chasm
Stalactites too
They say there are ghosts down here
No thats not true
Who knows who is saying that
It has been said
It sounds like pick axes
On top of your head
Those miners hat lights
Flickering in the gloom
It sort of reminds me
Of down in some tomb
Where everything echoes
And Iron once was sought
Where the mists are apparently
All a matter of thought
The Rocks at Clearwell
Clippity clop
Where is the Arch Druid
She has gone to the shop!
Its all about systems
And pot holes as such
Somehow we got down here
But I don’t like it much
Love this Rex thanks for sharing x
Just a little idea takes two hours 20 minutes to get there
