It seems that. Greenpeace wants to
Fight big energy
But has its work cut out for what they do
Is playoff the indigenous who cannot hunt seal or whales
As sustenance
Which supposedly holds true
So Greenpeace has decided
That the only way
To beat Big Energy
Is get on side
With the Inuit and other
Indigenous communities
And accept their need to hunt
Its not denied
That this will help those communities
To manage
And thus to help protestors in the fight
Against the drilling of oil and gas in the arctic
So all they have done is really seen the light
i suppose it makes sense
And it would be difficult for them otherwise
To feed and clothe themselves

The criticism against Greenpeace these last few days has been unfair. Greenpeace does NOT support the Canadian commercial seal hunt in Newfoundland, they support the seal hunt (and other hunting) by indigenous people, the Inuit in the far north of Canada, Greenland and the Chukchi Peninsula of Russia. The seal fur vest that Greenpeace Arctc director Jon Burgwald was seen wearing is a gift from the Inuit of Greenland.
I know sometimes news comes out from sources who do not necessarily check every detail. I try to but we all fail sometimes Greenpeace didnt help themselves by wearing a seal coat at a photo shoot. That riled some but I know they are trying hard to come on side with the indigenous that they will need to fight the drilling issue which of course would kill many animals.
