The Iranian hunters

A wild bear with two precious
Cubs was way laid so I hear
The mother murdered on the spot
The two sweet bears in fear
Were both stabbed very violently
Their stomachs opened wide
Exposing their intestines
Gaping from inside

Imagine the pain and suffering
The fear and protection they
Expected from their mother
Who had already passed away
They felt lost without her
Up against these carnal men
These evil rotten bandits
Who knew exactly when

They picked them up then by their ears
And dashed them against the rock
These were assassinations
It must have been the shock
Each had never imagined
Of the true century
Out walking with their mother
And attacked so frightfully

They were evil nasty fellows
Their irascibility
Their gruffness and their temper
And their bellicosity
To do this to the babies
Is hatred of a race
An aversion to their wildness
And thats why JILL gave chase

The hunters ran off thinking
They might just get away
But someone recorded what had happened
And to the BBC did play
The events and they were terrible
The craveh hearted band
Had really tortured these little souls
And all done by their hand

Those babies all a quiver
Feel them shiver it was dire
A slow death from the stabbing
That agony and fire
That ruptured their existence
Knowing one’s mother is dead
Knowing that you are all alone
And its all inside your head

Hunters so called have their indiscretions
Tempt their fate
Of course they court disaster
And try to confiscate
The evidence of murder
But clearly this was why
This family was accosted
And left out there to die

A member of the parliament
Got wind of their concern
And interfered with the investigations
He wanted to learn
More about the ugly scene
And deflect the animals rights
Issues seen on social media
He tried to dull the sights

Drawing in the politics
Talking up the regime
Accusations of something else
Few ever heard them scream
Those baby bears their mother gone
Clearly a hopeless cause
With murdering hunters on the case
And neither one would pause

Wild animals have status
They should be protected by
Sadists who would murder them
Its really one big lie
A spratt to catch a mackerel
To talk up politics
To make it international
To knock empathy for six

Hunting is a rotten pastime
So unfair and wrong
The spunk these little bears possessed
Against this ugly throng
It cannot be imagined
Taking on the plight
Watching their mother murdered
And not able to take flight

Jill Robinson took the case up
Petitioned us all to say
What had happened and why it had happened
On the given day
Iran looked kind of shadowy
It was not that strong a case
And so she fought across the many months
And at a pace

The tedium was obvious
Justice for some bears
She met with some indifference
They are complex affairs
Being laden down with grief
Compared with some who see
3 bears just as animals
Their Wildness wandering free

I have to take my hat off
To a single lass who took
It really to the Iranians
Trying to use the book
To catch up with these scoundrels
And get them charged for they
This was courage this was will
And benevolence I say

Love for these wild animals
And prepared to take those on
Who thought they would get away with it
The camouflage to don
And sneak off into the forest
Just kind of slink away
But this lady is a fighter
Who we can all learn from today

Not prepared to give up the fight Jill Robinson
You showed true tenacity and courage
