Long distance travel
Trucking miles
Days and days of Hell
Crushed on top of one another
Exactly where you fell
Clambering around the hold
Treading on you, you
Get trampled bruised and broken
And die some of them do

There is no fresh air to speak of
The heat begins to rise
Animals are collapsing right
Before your eyes
Dying of exhaustion, from the heat
And all of this
No food no water filthy bedding
Far removed from bliss

Standing in their own shit
As thirsty as can be
Clearly nobody cares for them
Out there on the sea
The motion of the stormy waves
And the sickness coming on
Still days and days of this
And already many gone

The farmers who had raised them
Were selfish through and through
Contracts signed shipments made
They can fuck off too
Exhausted by this experience
And saddened by it all
Standing in each others urine
Splashing up the wall

There never was compassion
Not a single dime
Of thought goes into shipments
In one great hold of slime
They slip and slide and bruise
Each other
That is what they do
A far cry from those sun drenched fields
Where at least they could be true

On food and yes on water
But here aboard this ship
Nobody was actively helping
This long trip
Was killing it was awful it was frightening
To see
And on arrival they could expect
The death penalty

Fresh meat for their table
Adversity in their veins
Suffering so very much
All the stress and strains
Of shipments many many miles
Across a stormy sea
Thrown about and left for dead
Thats now where they be

Arrival hot and sticky
Lots of white dry sand
Noises in the local streets
They could’t understand
Trucks were parked and ready
Cars were parked there too
Manhandled into waiting boots
To be slaughtered
