Elephant painting and the Halle Zoo’s mentality

The whole credibility of zoo’s to me
Is brought into question with this sad story
These two individuals abusing this soul
An elephant who they want to control
Elephants don’t paint its man who decides
To encourage them of course and what he hides
Is how he encourages them and what they must do
So they make him money which is sadly true

In Thailand where this goes on and tourists see
Elephants painting they fail to be
Totally unimpressed drunk at the sight
Of artists with trunks and thinking its right
But its far from right its done with abuse
Its done with some violence it is a big ruse
Just to make money no prophets here
Animals taken advantage of with fear
Becomes the big word in the elephants life
They fear yes they fear they fear for their life

And a zoo to pretend that these men that we see
Are not abusing this elephant how can that be
Tipping water based paint into its trunk
And making it blow paint out really we are sunk
If we can believe that elephants are treated like this
And its fun no they scar
The image completely they fool us to say
This is a game a game they all play

The image of PAJAAN remains in their soul
As babies split up from their mothers that role
Destroyed by this practice lost babies are
Pushed into a small crate they become the star
They are tied there and beaten and stabbed every day
And whilst this is going on not fed
They pay
a lot to be elephants captured by man
No water either since this pain began
They are breaking its spirit day after day
Beating it making it cry its not play
Its the worst kind of torture its terrible stuff
Pajaan its called and they get enough
Till they break down and weep broken as hell
And they do what the human wants and do it well

If not they get beaten within an inch of their life
Or thats what they imagine the end of their life
So to make some excuse like this zoo just have made
Makes me at once of course then down grade
That zoo and all zoo’s for all that they do
Is make profit from animals and that is true
It is a business and commerce cant see
The need to be caring not promote cruelty

Elephants don’t paint unless they are made to
Cruelty happens behind big closed doors
So the naive tourists can see what is happening
And give them money and some applause
The elephant cries inside its great body
Imagining really how we can be made
By trainers no brainers who care about money
And the marvellous painting and elephant trade

If they don’t paint its a whack they will be getting
Memories flood back of pajaan and more
Elephants have a Very long memory
And the fear factor rises and they then are sure
Better to paint all day do what you are told
Refuse and they know and thats why the seem sold
On painting

But not having paint squirted into their trunks
For fun!
