Africa

A massive grey Baobab
A voluptuous sky
And there in the distance
I perceive through my eye
A King with a heartbeat
As bold as the night
In a body of gold
Fashioned so bright

He lies in a thicket
His ebony mane
A gift from his father
Surely his gain
Full on nobility
And such appeal
His chivalry certain
His undauntedness real

Honourable and upright
Proving to be
Rewarding our senses
We have to agree
A wondrous mystique
With much to admire
And soul searching eyes
Burning like fire

We found admiration
The drama of sense
Awe struck in wonderment
Monstrously tense
A breathtaking earthling
A gorgeous refrain
A thunderous roar
And once again

How ever adventurous
Its audacious stare
Clearly intrepid
Sharing the air
One hell of a cat
Buoyant and true
Ready to melt clean away
out of view
