Its the hunters that need to be caged

With a rifle in your holdall
And some bullets in your case
You go out at the weekends
With a smile upon your face
Off into the forest
A wild dark place where you
Will turn a living paradise
Into a death camp, few
Will ever come to terms with how you see
Your life pan out
How your mind is twisted
How you live with doubt
And why it is your purpose
To murder another soul
To threaten another species
And to take control

Why not take a camera
Then all our eyes can see
What you found and what you saw
You can tweet it rapidly
Share it with the world at large
And leave it just to be
Where it was when you saw it
Thats realitY for me

But no you load that rifle
With steel bullets
And you aim
Directly at a creature
Whose heart beats just the same
Whose thoughts are of the future
Of its family maybe near
You close one eye and pull, the trigger
And send your message. Fear
The fear of true destruction
The fear of loss of life
Its what you do at weekends
Fill their world with strife

And for what
What is the message
Why is the need to kill
To destroy another’s habitat
Just for your cheap thrill
You listen as it cries out
And leaps into the brush
The bullet slams into its back
And turns its wound to mush

Its agony is evident
It turns towards the light
And sees You its crap assassin
A twisted violent sprite
Who came purely to hunt it down
And slaughter it at will
To give it that emotion
That finality that chill

You were pitiless and mercilessly
Unconsoling and so hard
You gave no quarter its pound of flesh
And its reason to be scarred
With no sense of obligation
You ungrateful mortal sod
You exacted retribution
And will be rewarded by their god

Each animal has a god to which it
Receives protection and
You will now be tracked down
Though you might not understand
How whatever happens
Is related to this death
The law of absolute karma
Will one day see your breath
Much harder to come by
You will struggle and you will fight
And see this creatures dying face before you in the night

Hunters get their just rewards
In fact they always do
Their psychopathic imbalances
Will one day come to screw
Themselves into a dark cold place
A swamp of no return
And in the peat borne waters
Of course each one does burn

For the unfairness they pursued in life
A just reward is theirs
They overstepped their place in life
They can offer up their prayers
But nobody will hear them
Nobody at all
When they all lost their humility
They lost the right to call
