Gaza

The anatomy of Gaza
Its skeleton on show
Its demolition underway
Where ever your eyes go
Complete eradication
And overwhelming sight
Bombed and smashed to pieces
Devoured as if by right

Those buildings we once lived in
Our home till recently
Now a new skeletal framework
Is all that we can see
The destruction is so frightening
Just ruins everywhere
And many total collapses
With all of the despair

Children blown to smithereens
The violence an extreme
When the children ran for cover
The ravagers did stream
Their explosives down upon them
Limbs were blown away
Israel was heavy handed
And of course it is today

All of them gods children
What was there to learn
The lanes belonged to Palestine
But in hot flames all burn
It must madden any parent
To see their children die
Caught up in the mayhem
And wondering now why

There are children in The war zone
Children everywhere
And each of them are suffering
With accumulative despair
Its pure hell in the offing
No respite anymore
Everyones a victim
In this brand new war

The all powerful armed up to the teeth
Have arrogance galore
Firing salvoes at other peoples children
At the core
of life
The evil surfaces
Where children live and die
Gaza spirit of the age
Where every soul must lie

Shivering in clouds of fear
In smoke in explosive force
Limbs torn off by ugly brutes
With anger at their source
Over 2000 Palestinians dead
Their slaughter came
Suddenly and fearfully
As just part of the game
