It’s such a strange feeling

Are there words to describe the way
We feel
When others show
Their dislike of us
It’s so heartfelt
Which Of course we know

We feel it in our very bones
And what is it we can do
Disappear be invisible
It’s a problem
Yes it’s true

Prejudice on the grounds that’s we are different
Could be skin, or gender
How can we
Resolve this
It of course takes two to tango
And often silence is the only key

To be looked down upon
Because we are different
Is something that gets into us
It’s true
It gets into our gristle
It’s almost like a thistle
We know it’s going to hurt us
But we do

Kind of go towards it
Kind of hoping
That whoever will accept us
That’s our hope
We want people to love us
We want people to care
Because deep down inside of us
It’s our live we want to share

With each and every earthling
We want to feel their soul
The comfort of their being
Their warmth their very role
In our life what’s to question
What does prejudice have to do
With how we feel about each other
And what feel for you

We are in fact all earthlings
We all have the same right
We each know our own secrets
We all share the same light
We have to come to terms with this
For our life ahead to be
Meaningful and worthwhile
I just hope you agree
