Zoo’s are not places for animals

A zoo is no place for wild animals, they
Are far better off living far far away
Wherever their true habitat is they,ought
Be left there to live there we never should have caught
The bug which is capture, trapping oh no
Zoo’s are unnatural they are no place to go
Of course the wrong climate, no fresh food about
No freedom the habitat offers no doubt
Stuck in some cage and gawped at all day
By ignorant visitors, yea they may pay
To come in a see all the animals there
But the animals think it’s all bloody unfair

It’s a man made prison and what have they done
Nothing wrong they were stolen where is their fun
Imported into a country afar
And fed on just alien foods that will scar
Their actual digestion doctored and made
Not of their liking and still the parade
Of humans comes shouting comes looking comes to
Their sterile enclosures where what do they do

Get bored half the day and have to combine
Their days inside houses and when they dine
On whatever is thrown at them and people do
Throw all sorts of crap at them, honest it’s true

the animals anger is measured in fact
By the response of people as to how they react
Shouting and gesturing,throwing things they
Get frightened and unsure They don’t know the way
Humans are trying to communicate
With off handed cavalier statements of fate
Sometimes so aweless they think they deserve
Something not knowing that they’ve touched a nerve

Lack of understanding it’s easy to do
When animals are not sure what they should do
They often ignore disrespect and despise
Make faces throw tantrums that’s about the size
Zoos are for people not animals, they
Should be banned if you ask me banned from today
You can’t work with profits and margins and life
For the animal victims will face lots of strife

Based around economics financially so
They need to be fed and looked after you know
You can’t think of balance sheets that is not right
The animals need must stay in pure sight
And all sorts of people bang on their cage
Get them so livid into a great rage
Throw things and frighten them it just no good
Zoos are for people the misunderstood
