Fast food joints
And curry houses
Sandwich bars
And cafés do
Now sell shrimps
They are everywhere
And I bet you eat them too
But they don’t come from those
Shrimp boats
No not any more
They come from toxic sewer ponds
Managed by the poor
Farmers who get little money
For, all that they do
And so it’s vile and horrible
And sadly this is true
Not farmed in pristine waters
But noxious infested muck
Pestilential and germ laden
So You have run out of luck
These shrimps are bred in water
That’s so filthy and so bad
A total lack of hygiene
Which for the shrimps is sad
The people are infectious
And these vectors carry much
Purulent and pussy
We are out of touch
With what all this is doing
To keep the waters clear
They load them up with antibiotics
And anti fungals,
fear
you should be bloody fearful
For infections when they come
When you are given antibiotics
They will not work now for some
This is what you risk when buying
Cheap shrimps and cheap fish
Farmed in filthy stinking ponds
Not something I relish
90 per cent of shrimps these days
Are farmed like this oh dear
We are basically killing ourselves
So it would appear
And why would we be so stupid
Ignorance of course
We seem to think if it’s out there
We can eat it with some sauce
But we don’t want to pay for it
We want it good and cheap
Well now the rooster is coming home
And it may make you weep
Through selfishness and ignorance
Our unfairness to those who
Far away are working to get the food to you
They only earn a pittance
So we can buy it cheap
But with it comes disease and worse
For what we sow we reap
