Another Yellowstone oil spill

A pipeline in Montana
Spilled 50,000 gallons
Of crude oil into Yellowstone
And The smell was ghastly there

It,tainted their drinking water
And the city water plant
Stopped pumping from the river
From Bridger LLC
It had travelled over 60 miles
Underneath the ice
These risks have to blow our minds
Nothing there is nice

The pipeline sits eight feet below the river bed
Oh dear
If it’s compromised the local people
Clearly must feel fear
Remember EXXON Mobil the 2011 spill
All these wretched accidents
Are a bitter pill

To the environment the people
The fish the plants we see
Oil is vile and obnoxious
No one wants to be
Anywhere near the exposure
It’s frighteningly clear
Pollution is a major factor
Getting to people here

It’s not about a clean up
It’s prevention that we need
Once the oil spill happens
Then where does it lead
It’s a plague with consequences
The oiliness that kills

Violently spills

Coughs it’s horrid vomit
It’s evil ugly mess
Into a pristine environment
Causing vast amounts of stress
