Toshima

Not all the Japanese it seems

eat Dolphins

Toshima island

3 hours from Tokyo

its where they grow Camelias

and make the special oil

its paradise or so they say

with lots of fertile soil

a mountain and some shrines

and forest and of course the sea

and around the island a pod of dolphins

live now happily

its very strange that they protect

the dolphins

when one of course considers

sad Taiji

who kill and maim the dolphins in their thousands

it goes to show

really how folk can be

at Miyasuka yama from its summit

tranquillity is present

there the coves and inlets remain blue

for its citizens include the dolphins

which is an  extra special thing to do

they love their sweet intelligence

and clearly

are miles apart from their brothers in Taiji

who lack the understanding of the ocean

and tragically now all they want to do

is the opposite of peace and care and loving

how is it really two  groups  do exist

one group who loves nature and the dolphins

and the other who puts profit on their list

who just goes out to torture and maim them

a complete lack of understanding they

lie about their culture they are intoxicated

with  making money any kind of  way

and now the world  is at their throats

and so of course they carry on regardless

its their way

one group has  a heart for saving dolphins

and the group just blow them all away

Toshima loves and respects its pods of dolphins

they are deemed as citizens so they

are protected

but they do eat turban conch and spiny lobsters

but dolphins  are off the menu anyway

Lets hope one day Taiji come round to the same philosophy
