Sweety and Tricia were mean’t to be

A grey sky
The sun peeping out of the clouds
The snow hard and cold
As we made our way to
Over the compacted snow on the highway
Where are they taking me
Somewhere that’s new

A long journey far away
It’s now so much brighter
Still lots of snow
But snow that’s much whiter

It’s night time when we get
To this great red barn
And just left me there
To share a long yarn

To rest up and feel what it’s like
To be there
Morning comes and the realisation
That someone will share

My life a new sister
With a lovely moo
A great big soft barn
That’s when I met you

Tricia was there
A sister for me
You see with your ears
When your eyes cannot see

We kiss and we taste
We care
For we be
Together in what is
The farm sanctuary

They brought me here
Took the time and the trouble
And when she did appear

Sort of in my thoughts
We both knew that we
Could be friends and great friends
It just had to be

We eat together
We lay here too
We are both blind
But we know and we knew

Someone was out there
Someone did care
Someone to share our lives with
Someone rare

We are both saved we are joyous to be
In this lovely place
Called the farm sanctuary

I came from a CAFO
A huge concrete place
With thousands of my kind
All over the place

Vast smelly stalls
And cold concrete floors
Where mothers like me
Develop big sores

To me it was awful
So huge a great place
The noise it was deafening
A real disgrace

But now it is peaceful
The barn floor so soft
Lovely rich hay to hear
Kept in the loft

Lovely sweet people
Who care for us here
And my new found sister
Who I know is a dear
