and we have all got such perils

hitting us every hour

and giving it to children

its tragic and so wrong

we have to stop this madness

for its going on too long

we are not a bunch of robots

we have minds and must be seen

to save our children and ourselves

and not be so obscene

for it is an obscenity

to slaughter as they do

to cut and thrust
