Sleek of mind and body
muscled to a tee
braindead when it comes to it
its not something some see
on the face of it
they are everything
a flower of untold worth
but a heart transcends
to deeper depths
encompassing the earth
the chemistry of romance
is tied up in the soul
its littered with the anguish
and the tears
for in that role
some well on the face of it
have it from the start
but as time passes
it is clear
they never had a heart
they never had the eyes to see
the soul to give
the chemistry was more genetic
artificial seemingly
when the chips were down
they were just the clown
a sort of smile
wouldn’t reconcile
love was there
but it brought despair
for the love they chose
their mirror knows
its was self love they
were at all day
their perception lost
equivalence tossed
emotions wrought
had someone taught
me this would I
have loved that guy
would I have given
would I have felt
would I have sunk on my knee’s
and knelt
you ain’t got it
yea its true
what I have got is I loved you
from the first moment my eyes
just saw
you were standing by the door
not alone others were there
of your countenance I was so aware
of your beauty
I have never seen
such an aura
there had never been
such an aura
such a sight
I remember my fingers
they just went white
I was shocked
I was struck
the lightening flew
and all of it
it came from you
I can still recall
that feeling I
felt
but then the reason why
was not apparent
I later knew
that I was just in love with you
your vision
your persona
was
there are no words
and thats because
I was overcome
I was lost but knew
that spark
it was it was
just You
for years I tumbled
to and fro
walked the byways
I did know
the world was huge
the streets were bare
my heart was empty
you were not there
and then one day
in a car park we
met up again
and infinity
opened its doors
and the brightest light
shone through my body
with all that might
that charge of lightening
struck again
its took away that latent pain
that wanting that caring that loving
that thought
there you were
all I had sought
there you were in that car park you
smiling like you always do
things had changed
I was older but I
felt that lightening from the sky
felt that bond knew its worth
it was as if it was my re birth
when you drove away
it just couldn’t be
the greatest spell
was inside of me
the magic rippled
I felt it so
and eternity
again did flow
Chemistry you just ain’t got it mate
maybe so
but I know of late
I am a natural
the poet in me
will love you
through all eternity
there is not a second
that passes by
when your face I can’t see
and I so know why
there’s not a heartbeat
that I do feel
when I know my love
for you is real
all I want for my eyes to see
is you dear
you dear in front of me
for you give me
light and then all I see
is beautiful
so beautiful
this ballad can never ever end
for you are my greatest ever friend
we are deeper than oceans can ever be
and higher than mountains
that most may see
my life was transformed
it is how I felt
when my eyes see you
the goddess dealt
the hand of fortune
and it fell to me
to explain myself
eternally
