The Harvey Nichols protest

what have we in store

a dozen or so protestors

you might then ask what for

because the selfish profiteers

want to make and break

the hearts of animals with lots of fur

to slaughter them and take

their precious skins so they can sell

their coats, their bags

their stoles

this is their unethical approach

oh yes they are poles

apart from sentient buyers

who know the pain and woe

inflicted on the voiceless

who have no where to go

trapped or hung up

tragically

their skins torn off and why?

so they can then be tossed in piles and very

slowly die

these were living beings

with hearts and souls

and they

can feel their lives a slipping

just slipping away

but the price they pay

is very high

not that Harvey Nichols

cares

its all  about their margin

cages traps and snares

we stand there with our megaphones

telling the public we

are here to save the voiceless

who otherwise would be

hapless and without spirit

for all eternity.

that is why we do it

for us it seems to be

so unfair to animals

which hopefully you can see

lots of stores have now ditched fur

but Harvey Nichols no

they go on and sell this torture

and watch their profits grow

how the directors sleep at night

who can really say

but that’s just how mean spirited

they are now
