this story far and wide

Botswana bans canned hunting

its something done with pride

the reporting of this story

and the reasons why it should

be banned its so abusive

and cannot be seen as good

raising souls in captivity

in what are special zoo’s

then going all unethical

really turning the screws

identifying the foreign hunters

prepared to pay a lot

for the guarantee that whatever

can then just be shot

sold to the highest bidder

and shot down in cold blood

a terribly evil business

that leaves sadness in the mud

tears and avid horror

that percolates the soul

trophies then exported

we were out of control

Botswana  we stand by you

your courage makes great sense

biodiversity matters

for all wildlife, the suspense

is realized these so called hunters

it is good that they

can understand the evil

and, just stay away

its now up to South Africa

to ban the practice too

forget the base corruption

is does nothing for you

canned hunting is an evil

its murder that is all

and to regulate such abyssmal stuff

to me is where you fall

down on true reality

for animals need to be
