The skin of dead animals

One wonders how nature now views what we do

how the creator examines it too

in cold climes thick fur was the coat

of those who

lived in the depths of the

inclement dew

protection was sought

and provided by fur

in the depths of the psyche

did anyone stir

the tribe who had skin

and knew of its worth

though was not born

necessarily ,out on the earth

where the fur bearing souls dwelt

but in cities where

they wore thicker clothing

as such were aware

but fashion sprung forth

and the eyes of those who

created their garments

of many a hue

of many a thickness

decided the fate

of the skin bearing souls

who just couldn’t wait

to be skinned alive

to be tortured so

to be hunted and trapped

and face their deaths slow

and painful so humans

could deal in their skins

and sink in a mire

for their vilest of sins

they exploited these sweet souls

by caging them till

they mostly went bonkers

then they did kill

by electrocution

its terribly wrong

creation must see that these

souls don’t belong

but man unkind is just

as unkind as can be

he slaughters and tortures

those who walk free

and  then he abuses his position for he

makes childrens’ toys from them

my goddess we see

teddy bears ,toy cats

all sorts of toys

designed to bring happiness

and to bring joys

to little folk who are to cuddle and kiss

the dead skins of animals

they are taking the piss

they are shunning creation

the tortured are there

Raccoon dogs dying in abject  despair

ruptured and torn in their last throes of life

hooked up and stripped of

their skins with a knife

the toy makers come

with their smiles and their guile

buy up the dead skins

and just for a while

chemical treatments they tell us they

are a unique gift for our children today

and the well heeled parents listen and buy

and more and more animals

then have to die

our children are sleeping

with dead little souls

who were pulled from their families

and beaten by trolls

this is whats happening

this is what we do

the skin of dead animals

oh goddess its true
