The Queen of Breton

a radiance that gives pure light
to the passion in her eyes
those flowing locks
a myriad of colours
and she’s wise
her bone structure
is regal
her alluring eyes
and smile
her rich magenta tunic
warrioresque in style

a short white skirt
and studded leggings
and medieval boots
thick black arm protectors
so beautiful,
she suits
the day at Chalice Gardens
surrounded by the flowers
white and purple offerings
both spending several hours

soaking up the sunlight
and being happy there
she the Queen of Breton
and this wondrous day did share
the fracking march was over
the tor was in our sight
the white spring water tasted good
and our chariot of white

was waiting in the car park
to take us home that night
200 miles of motorway
and we both got home alright
still in our regal clobber
we impressed the locals and
we wandered here and wandered there
and we did understand

the value thats is Glastonbury
a town that does express
itself in witchy wonder
and who would want for less
she really was remarkable
a women of such power
as beautiful as the day was long
and more beautiful each hour

we laid an offering on the well
we lit a candle and watched it burn
we left some fruit and sat and thought
and really we felt we did learn
so much of history that was there
again I noticed her locks of hair
her vibrant skin her super smile
it was good to be with her a while

to breathe her air
to share her gaze
that one so fair of skin
she plays
such harmony
within my soul
love and respect
a growing role
I love her more
than words can say
and I hope she will never go away
