The Fur trade and its lackeys

That is it that Kopenhagen Fur
gives furs away
to the right royal family
the rich don’t have to pay
that what they think
all fur wearer
imagine they are for free
the Beyonce’s and the Madonna’s
and the Jlow’s cannot see
the karma bank and the debits
now building when they wear
the evilness of animal skins
with the added despair
the rich and famous seemingly
for get morality
they are far removed from the forest
and the trappers that’s the key
issue that are famous
they don’t get out so much
remember they are famous!
and so out of touch
and so they have forgotten
I suppose and possibly
when the fur’s are delivered
and given liberally
the feel so damn important
and wear their furs but they
all will get their just rewards
and eventually will pay
our need is to remind them
and convince them they should care
we have to safeguard animals
protect them from despair
protect from the furriers
whose object is to make
profit so much profit
and they care not who they break
the voiceless break they break al’right
the sordid business churns
out so many shins and pelts
that it brings to us concerns
for more of the sweet creatures
getting this awful pain
stripped of their precious outer skin
for the evil one’s to gain

that’s why we sign petitions
that why we write and speak
we have to try and wake them up
we have to try and eke
out a place for animals
to prosper and to be
creative in their own sweet skins
for all eternity
