Dover

Its a pity that the Dover port
finds its is needful for
the shipment of live animals
with cruelty at their core
2000 or so per shipment
back out to Calais
and onward to wherever
really makes it pay
shipments are not good at all
for the animals to survive
they really do need food and water
I mean they are alive
shipped on a river ferry
the journey must be rough
3 hours of that then trailer
rides to Germany
its enough
and beyond in fact to Turkey
British tagged sheep are seen
it is a feat of torture
which is anything but green
Dover I am surprised at you
blood money in your banks
shipment in tiny ferries
honestly it ranks
as bad and dirty cargo
for cargo it is called
they do not call it live animals
really they should be hauled
up before some criminal court
and made to realise
that this trade is completely horrible
which comes as no surprise
protesters are out in little groups
making their voices heard
but few around there worry much
they think its too absurd
its really and evil practice
live animals shouldn’t be
loaded on a ferry boat
and shipped across the sea
