Beagle Research in Yorkshire

B&K an American firm wants to build
in Yorkshire
aims to open a Beagle Farm
and flog its dogs to those
research Labs in Universities
its for experimentation
the arrogance is highter up the ladder
and it shows

the audacity of re applying
for this local planning
last year they were turned down
but back they come again
its wicked that firms do this
to Beagles, of all breeds
causing them such anguish
and a lot of fear and pain

Experiments are frightening
we should not still be doing them
it isn’t right and nobody should
feel that we allow
this to happen anywhere
let alone in Yorkshire
to my mind it is evil
and so I dont know how

they broach this subject yet again
and think the planners will
this time just accept their argument
their bitter pill
is likely to cause colic
for to me its so unfair
the dogs are strong and cheerful
and I hope they never will

give in to these vile corporates
who torture day and night
behind closed doors the carry out
things that are not right
experiments so others can
include the tests abroad
to me its simple cruelty
which no one should afford

My advice to the planners
is ban this right a way
and make it clear that Yorkshire
has had the final say
go back to America
and do their new research
as for Britain we believe
that such planning would besmirch

our character and fairness
for other species who
have a right to not be
experimented on, who do
not expect this evil
to take place anywhere
especially not in Yorshire
drawing down despair
