Angora ( Boycott it now)

Blood curdling screams
are all you hear
from Rabbits being plucked
clearly the Chinese labourers
have all bucked
their total responsibility
to be paid for doing this
is torture its egregious
its something all should miss
but clearly every few months
they are plucked again
the agony is obvious
from the terror and the strain
these animals are put through
in their tiny cages they
wait their turn with much concern
as to whether they can live through
the experience so shocking
great tufts of the finest hair
are yanked out of their bodies
and nobody does care
they bleed they shake
they scream their heads off
and nobody does hear
and the people in the shops
they think think of price but never fear
they do not even know where
the Angora comes from they
many don’t care a monkeys
about it anyway
but we must be responsible
not leave it to those few
activists around the world
that clean up the act for you

The buyers of these materials
are corrupt they have to be
they know how much the animals suffer
for most of them will see
but they close their ears to the suffering
as the profit starts to roll
they close their hearts to the suffering
and most don’t have a soul
as long as their bankers are smiling
and their balance sheet looks right
and they pay their workers badly
then they are in the light
and a few thousand Rabbits
crying in their sleep
does nothing to their ego’s
as long as the products cheap
and in China those bloody plucker’s
are paid a a pittance and they
must pluck so many Rabbits
or they don’t get enough pay
so its done with utter churlishness
and not an gram of care
which leads the victims
into what is then months of despair

then it becomes evident
their time apparently
is considered up
and their throats are slashed
that’s how it has to be
so if you see Angora on the labels
where you buy
you then know that those buyers
know the reason why
their margins are much better
than  the shop along the street
its because they allow the torture
and they keep out of the heat
