what is their excuse? on animal and compassion for them

Compassion seemingly is given sparingly
most don’t know the meaning of the word
thoughtfulness another word thats almost out of favour
a samaritan that soul appears absurd
who would save an animal from slaughter?
most would help the slaughtermen in fact
most don’t care if the slaughtermen tortures the animal
and when they are told he does they don’t react
they have to die thats the tenet they display
who cares if they feel the pain
I buy it on a tray
I can’t be responsible for how the creature dies
besides of course they were born to die as you ought realise

you tell them that their place of birth was awful
you tell them they were tortured all their days
this is when they switch off or get belligerent
and go into a rather aggressive phase
I like meat and nothing is going to stop me
none of your silly drivel does make much sense

tell them that the calf was only 4 days old

her throat slashed and inside of her was a baby

there just is no response from many of them
they look at you as though you are sick to say
the sausage on their plate was some poor animal
its internal parts and god knows what okay
again they have no care what they are eating
it tastes good that is the criteria that they
work with, if it tastes good then it don’t matter
where it comes from and how and who did pay

some of course will go white at the suggestion
that they are culpable for what they do
and now they are eating baby pig or bay chick or something
they start to get hot but they take the view
