Momma cat

In America it seems these days
just anyone with a gun
can walk up to a cat and dog
and shoot at it for fun
these bloody half crazed psychopaths
have the apparent right
to use these strays as targets
day has become night
maybe they are on depressants
drugs I know not but they
seems to have any excuse to just blow cats away
and this has recently happened to a cat
in Florida
in front of local carers
who were powerless and just are
beside themselves and some creep
pumped 2 rounds into her
lying kicking on the ground
and the man its as if
he was
totally unconscious and probably he
was
in a rotten stupor in some crazy mood
full of ghastly temper
which clearly did exude
from every single orifice
and the police they came and said
we will not be charging him
the cat in fact is dead
it will not bring the cat back
its unfortunate but true
that’s now legal jargon
for basically fcuk You
no one seems to matter
no one seems to care
if you happen to be an animal
living with despair
being on the street
its likely you will meet your end
the cat shooters will get you
they say they are your friend
and bang your dead bang bang your dead
that’s the quick way out
nobody needs to worry
its what life’s all about
its where we’ve actually come to
descending all the time
into a pit of vipers
