North Dakota has seem some progress
in the passed few years but it has come
with a big price tag
and a lot of tears
the fat cats, the oil barons
have no doubt struck it rich
but the people, who are living,
around there
how they pitch
the whole sad fracking business
in the light of what we see
and what I’m about to illustrate
now rising exponentially
and I think its detrimental
to the environment and to life
that some have made a killing
but most have felt the strife
some adverse strain has surfaced
on water supplies, I hear
on sewerage systems also
and there’s a lot of fear
the Bakken crude that caught fire
on the train back in July
when Lac Megantic was blown away
and may souls did die
the crude that train was carrying
was fracked oil a vile cocktail
and when it all exploded
it left a horrific trail
of carnage, people vapourised
no wounded they were dead
a 1km blast radius
which has clearly led
people to ask questions
and now what do we see
a spillage from the Tesaro pipeline
in Tioga that must be
awesome, such contamination
from again the Bakken shale
fracked oil spewing everywhere
a very tragic tale
20,600 barrels its going to cost
a lot
and the long term affects
disastrous
and the spillage it was not
reported due to the government
shut down a lot now will ask why
even more pollution
and so hard to quantify
fracking has its supporters
but long term it will be seen
how the fat cats make their killing
and the whole damn oil machine
becomes a rolling profit source
but the local people they
soon realise the losses fall
on them, and how they pay
loss of their amenities
their water and their soul
their properties perhaps their health
and definitely their control
Dont be taken in by all the hype
you must stand firm
the planet stands to lose
a lot really thats long term
accidents do happen
fracking 2 miles down
its hard to control that ruptured shale
and if there is a town
nearby then they will suffer
despite the puff and lies
put out by the frackers
under some official guise
*we must not forget the Exxon Mobil spill caused through fracking
from the tar sands which spilled into Mayflower Arkansas in 04/2013
its been a bad year for spillage and loss of life due to fracking*
