we don’t need glasses, no!

perhaps they do
but really let us show

we can cock our heads to the left side
and you would not believe
any rumbling in the grass
grasshopper mouse or worm
no matter how much noise around
we hear every squirm
when we cock our heads onto the right
then what we can hear
any fly or bumble bee
if it comes too near
when we sit together
in this special pose
we can smell the after shave
on a hunters nose
we’re very very sensitive
to hunters and we warn
our deer friends and our bear friends
and every little fawn
for these are ugly people
who use their guns and bows
who change the whole environment
and everything that grows
