A Pig’s eye view of people like YOU

Ah! here I am
the slaughterhouse
the smell that awful smell
the slaughterhouse they call it
to me it smells like Hell
the screaming
AH! the screaming its everywhere
my head
its in my ears its in my soul
somebody once said
the slaughterhouse is where you go
when you run out of luck
when they load you into that great
16 wheeler truck
its true we all got loaded
and I for some reason am here
alone without my friends and family
in a little shed and I fear
why I’m here away from all the machinery
but I
realise it a holding place
and I am about to die
I don’t want to die I don’t
I’m not ready to die I’m not sick
that door down there is opening
no I never miss a trick
can I back out of this area
can I get out that hole
can I get out of this area
can I save my soul
yes I can I push on through
and I’m out in the open yard
I cut my ear and its bleeding
that was bloody hard

and there’s the guy with fork lift truck
chasing after me
I got to get out of this place
I’ve just got to get free
I loved my friend called gertie
and I don’t know where she be
but somehow I have to get away
but he’s caught up with me
and he hits me with a shovel
oh no he’s injuring me
he tried to hook me up the sod
and again I do get free
and he hits me and he hits me
and he hits me and I lie
bleeding in the yard
and you got it folks I die

the last thing I remember
was the evil on his face
the ugly sod took out a rod
and beat me at a pace
these humans they are monsters
all we do is try
to live our short lives happily
as we can, which is really why
we don’t know why we are ever born
to face this kind of pain
I hope I never have to, come back
to this place again
