Dog Meat could mark our end

It happens in Korea
It happens in China
It happens in Laos
and probably here
but out in Nigeria
what we are seeing
a stray in the pot
did it manifest fear
this was a being
a lost boy no doubt
from the back of beyond
who was coaxed to come closer
so clearly was conned
a slave to the system
that’s what it was about

cooked by the roadside
with onions and sage
and fed to those wanting
I do feel such rage
as it lays there quite peacefully
roasting inside
I wonder of its thoughts
at the moment it died

respect for a species
apparently gone
anything goes now
the light that once shone
has gone out humanity
isn’t humane
the animal earthlings
their blood now does drain

into our spirit
and blinds us for we
have taken too much
and now all we see
is flesh it don’t matter
anything goes
think on this carefully
it may expose

more horrors
than any have thought of
before
the greatest morass
is now open
a war
of nerves is becoming
realities path
we sink ever lower
we feel the great wrath
sadly the abyss
may be a resting place
as humanity dies
its the end of a race
who had everything going for them
but they blew
their chances as evil and sin
did accrue
