its great for after dinner

better than those minty squares
wrapped up in cellophane
caged in tiny hovels
here we go again

made to eat the cherries
a bitter sweet refrain

and you wouldn’t want that again

so its not just £70 a cup
its an epidemic too
of the £70 quid a cup the civet cat
producers do

get very very little so once again we see
the animals go through it
it seems it has to be

but the west creates the market
goes across and tells
the Indonesian Farmers
who well of course he sells

the product then he realises
there’s not much doe ray me
and has to make the civets pay
the price and so they be

tortured in their cages
whilst the fat cats here and there
slouch around puff up their chests
bring on the despair

we really now as activists have to
shout it loud
appeals to all these snobby sods
the foie gras and civet crowd

to stop their idiotic stuff and go back
to having sense
not look away and just pretend
that they look good on the fence
