Lions need a preservation order on them

The waste of life
is vile and quite unfathomable
but it’s happening
canned hunts they do inflame
rich people using other people’s money
are buying into murdering big game
its no game for the lions
that I can tell you
its real hard to live out there as we do
with having to dodge bullets
and arrows and the bolts
in areas that all of us
have witnessed bad results
and its stressful and its really out of order
for man unkind to carry on like this
why not take our photographs
that’s a great idea
killing us is not exactly bliss
we would rather
live in peace if you just let us be
the pride can be struck cold
you know
to lose a member, we
get gunned down and really does
upset the apple cart
no matter whether young or old
its strikes right to the heart.

Trophy hunts are murder
we know it, it is so
canned hunts now are everywhere
everywhere we go
and then the bloody Chinese
up to their old tricks
after our bones and whiskers
thats another fix
we now need protection
to be on an endangered list
so anybody killing us
feels a bloody fist
come down on them like crazy
and if they are thrown in jail
perhaps the trophy hunting creeps
their business it will derail
