there is no excuse for cruelty

Foxes don’t deserve this vile behaviour
its such a shame these sick extremes remain
its brought about by country folk
with differing agenda’s
people need to realise
there are many defenders
and its about time that the cloak
of evil that has fallen down
in some quarters across
our land as we exit the town
animals of the countryside
belong to all who share
and killing them with barbarity
is hardly very fair
not only to the animals
but to the people who
enjoy them in their rich domains
without the likes of you

trigger happy people
who think they have the right
to come along and murder
everything in sight
nobody gives you that right
nobody at all
and you best understand this
not break every rule
calling us by names
is very childish
and threatening us
is very childish too
driving into countryside
and pointing your guns and pistols
is something that none of you
ought to do

wild foxes live a torrid life already
they don’t need city people
bearing down
to come along and shoot them off the planet
or catch them and just torture
them, they drown
in their own blood if stomped upon
of course they do
what relevance
what enjoyment do you get
seeing a wild soul grimace when the boot
is on its throat
in a nutshell why can’t you just let

sexual gratification really is it
or just the feeling that you’ve drawn some blood
its not as if the foxes ever hurt you in anyway
but you just want to hear a crushing thud
as some poor fox is stomped upon until its skull is crushed
until it bleeds and passes out
and dies in its own mud
then you feel so happy
the gratification shows
you’ve killed a created animals
the adrenaline in you grows
the fox is not some demon
it was living where it was born
its you that is the alien
its you that must see the dawn

and realise all wild folk
have a right to be
wherever they were born and put
its now’t to do with thee
a so much higher force did this
someone, greater than you
so I suggest you leave well alone
for the trouble that you brew
is greater than you imagine
the imbalance and the pain
its not just one dead fox you know
its a bloody awful strain
on the whole forest environment
and you just have no right
to kill and maim and threaten
every soul in sight
