Blast that sand got into my daughters lungs

Sandblasting denims
causes Chinese women
silicosis
fashion conscious buyers
are far from conscious it appears
distressed denims
causing true distress
and many tears

Maybe at a hidden cost
to levi’s H& M and Gap
but its the workers with little pay
who have to take the rap
breathless,
lungs all shot away
distressed jeans
where the fault does lay
it drives me spare
lets be aware
lets show we care
how would we fare
if our daughters
perhaps worked there

hears their cries
when they are short of breath
with streaming eyes
their lungs don’t work
and all because
a fashion that just never was

that marvellous
lets boycott them and send our thoughts to those sickened by it
with a plan to ensure no other soul needs to go through this agony
