Chandler has been too

it seems they want to do
yet more lays off’s, there too
more clients see the pain
of abject cruelty
realising it has become insane

to stipulate experimentation
on primates as they did
torturing them and frightening them
really in a bid
to test what ever product
they hoped to sell abroad
this price they exact on
animals, most will not afford

what went on in these laboratories
was cruel and so so wrong
it has happened for decades
from darkness it did belong
and all without pain killers
so tortured all the way
100 million animals
a year
what can we say

and all of us are implicated
for we buy the goods
we can wander here and there
in our darkened hoods
saying we don’t buy this
or that but actually
all of us could have done more
to prevent this truthfully

so its good at last its happening
they are, closing their doors
the people being laid off
and its all without applause
but its good that they don’t have to do this
evil any more
the corporates were controlling
of that I’m very sure

now those dreaded airlines
Air France Air India, they
Philippines Airlines to name 3
who are shipping every day
along with primates
going to Labs around the world
from virgin jungles green and alive
into hell they are hurled

Peta’s trying to stop this
we activists are too
I’m writing many poems
for that is what I do
every abuse of animals
is a measure that’s too far
we must stand for the voiceless
