Russian dog hunters
kill dogs on the street
a rifle a dog and a brick wall
discreet
with no legislation
to protect their welfare
they are shot where they sit
in a land of despair

the breeders they flourish
the puppy mills too
and the ignorant do what
the ignorant do
and the low life
these poorly paid hunter type gits
go out with their rifles
and blow strays to bits

hearts clogged up with fat
and cheap vodka they care
less about dogs
fouling the thoroughfare
they have not much life themselves
and really so they
take it out on the street dogs
who just have to pay

where there is no welfare
and no legislation
dogs in the street
get no medication
nobody cares
what happens so they
have to fend for themselves
till their dying day

and with these roving hoodlums
searching the streets
getting a high
it unseats
any dog lover to hear
what they do
how they have not an ounce
of compassion
all through

killed in cold blood
taking pot shots at will
its a game that they play
and the blood that they spill
they have not care at all
for these poor mutts who try
to eke out a life from those passers by

its a mortal injustice
that animals find
in Russia they rapidly
do lose their mind
no food rabid cruelty
and the hunter men
ready to shoot them
