A dairy cow tells all

I’m a cow
you may ask me how
I came to write to you
well as a mother
I always thought
what you’d tend to do

is support another mother
in her fight against a trade
who raped her
and made her pregnant
and kidnapped her baby
and then just laid

him on the floor in front of me
and stomped on him till he
was choking on his own blood
that was the dairy
I’ve been pregnant every year
and each time my little calf
they took him from me straight away
they don’t do things by half

so my baby I can’t feed him
the milk is all for you
why do human beings think
that ungulate milk will do
its processed and degraded
it has to be you see
because its actually alien
to humans honestly

it builds big bones
and puts on weight
great for obesity
it contains the bovine growth
hormone
which really is a key
factor why would human beings
want to ingest this
we only live at best 20 odd years
how is that bliss

to humans living 70 or more years
it has to be
a very strange phenomena
almost an anomaly
why would human beings believe
our milk is good
it might increase your bone length
but internal organs would

be the normal human size
so what’s the point of that
its really about profit
for the dairy
and that is that
so all you vegetarians
who feel holier than thou
gobbing down more of our milk
yoghurt’s cheese and how

its stolen from our babies
who are killed or used for veal
fed on milky slops in chains
and killed I do reveal
they cannot walk again
they are so sick
on what they are fed on
they suffer so much stick

well ladies that surprises me
I actually thought that you
would want to look much younger
but you clearly don’t think through
the scenario of cows milk
and what it was designed for
a baby who can walk away
from birth and be so sure

that’s not the same as your offspring
they can hardly spring at all
they lay upon their backs for weeks
and you musn’t let them fall
but you can feed them on the milk
that was created for
my baby who had a rumen
and 4 legs so are you still sure

now you’ve had a chance to hear
the argument from me
that you still think an ungulate
can provide your sweet baby
with adequate nutrition
a brain that they will need
I think now if you cogitate
you might just succeed

in realising why our milk
is sold to humans so
the dairy can make money
and their power source it can grow
and that’s the bee and end all
that’s what they are about
they create the milk marketing board
and we just face the rout

from milk comes many products
flavoured processed all
sweetened messed about with
the dairy has a ball
and all our calves are slaughtered
for rennin for your cheese
1 week old and our babies
their stomach linings they seize
the cheese people who tear them up
and use the rennin to
coagulate the milk
to make the cheese so good for you

full of fat and refined salt
and colouring and crap
so you can have it on your toast
and the cholesterol it can wrap
around your lovely arteries
and fill them up with plaque
so before too long you also
can be lying on your back

with tubes all around your body
and sticking out your face
cardiac problems, cancers
yes its a disgrace
and what about our babies
and what about us too
well 20 years your joking
3 or 4 and a few

5 and then its over
to the slaughterhouse we go
throats slit no more captive bolts
hung up we can watch the flow
until we’re dead that’s all we did
get raped have calves and see
them stolen from us so that you lot
can drink incessantly

yes of course we’re bitter
neglected and we feel
that mothers, human mothers
ought to now get real
ought to question dairies
and ask what its about
why our milk is good for them
because now, they are in doubt
